One To Watch: The Hangover 2

Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha & Ed Helms return for the Hangover 2

2009’s surprise hit The Hangover, directed by Todd Phillips, was the tenth highest grossing film of the year, with a worldwide gross of over $467 million. The film won numerous awards including a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture (musical or comedy), so it is no surprise that it spawned a sequel. The Hangover 2 is due to be released on 30 May 2011 in the US so it is likely to have a UK release in early June.

There has been lots of speculation as to what the plot of the film could be. It has now been revealed that the men will now be heading to Thailand for Stu’s (Ed Helms) wedding.

A Warner Bros. press kit reveals:

“After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.”
